Amboseli, Aberdares, Samburu Ol Pejeta, Lake Nakuru & Maasai Mara Game Reserve

Explore four classic tours destinations in Kenya. Mara is known for almost guaranteed sightings of the Big 5: Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo and Rhino. It is also popular for the annual migration of zebra and wildebeest which occurs from July to October. Lake Nakuru is home to a huge population of pink flamingos and 400 species of birds; while Amboseli is known for the large herds of elephants and most especially with its stunning view of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Lake Naivasha popular for boat ride to Crescent Island where you will have a guided nature walk, hippos and birding adventures.

Day 1: Nairobi – Amboseli National Park

Pick up from your Nairobi hotel or Airport in the morning and drive to Amboseli National Park which is famous for its scenery with a backdrop of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro, which dominates the landscape, and open plains. Arriving in Kibo Safari Camp for Lunch and afternoon game drive.
The park is also famous for being one of the few places you can get close to free-roaming wild animals such as the big cats, herds of elephants, zebras, gazelles and buffaloes. Return back to the camp for Dinner and Overnight.

Day 2: Exploring Amboseli National Park

After breakfast depart for a full day game drive where Mount Kilimanjaro background offers a good photographic scenery coupled with animals such as Buffaloes, lions, gazelles, cheetahs, wildebeests, hyenas, Warthogs, zebras, giraffes and baboons on the ground.
Picnic lunch will be served in the park under a cool acacia tree. Later return to the camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Amboseli / Aberdares National Park

After light breakfast, you will have a morning game drive to view the early hunters, return to the camp departing with picnic lunches, leave Amboseli viewing game as we drive via Nairobi to the Aberdares to arrive Nyeri for late lunch.
After lunch, you will be transferred to The Ark. The Ark has four viewing decks with balconies and lounges to provide superb game viewing from the comfort of the lodge. The animals come to you!. Later dinner and overnight at The Ark lodge.

Day 4: Aberdares / Samburu National Reserve

Depart from Aberdares after breakfast and head to Samburu National Reserve driving through the rugged wilderness. Arrive on time for lunch at Samburu Sopa Lodge and relax getting ready for your first-afternoon game drive.
Samburu National Reserve offers distinctive vistas of rugged hills and undulating hills. The mix of grassland and wood with a swamp and a riverine forest makes the reserve home to a variety of animal and bird-life. Game viewing in the reserve is excellent due to its visibility.
Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Samburu Full Day

You will have a full day in Samburu Game Reserve with a 06:30hrs game drive returning to the lodge for breakfast. Later leave your lodge with packed lunch to explore both Samburu and Buffalo Springs Reserves.
You will have a chance to spot the rare Oryx, Gerenuk, Grevy’s Zebra, Reticulated giraffe, Somali Ostrich, crocodiles, hippos, herds of elephants, buffaloes, lions, hyena, cheetahs and if you are lucky enough the elusive leopard. You may also opt to spend the entire day exploring the reserve with a packed picnic breakfast and lunch.
A visit to a cultural village may be organized if you are interested. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Samburu – Ol Pejeta Sweetwaters

Enjoy an early morning game drive followed by breakfast. Check out and drive into Laikipia plains into Ol Pejeta Wildlife Conservancy. On arrival, you will check-in at your camp and have lunch. After time at leisure, you will have an evening game drive until sunset from 1600hrs.
During your game drives, you will also visit the Chimpanzee Sanctuary. Expect to see Elephant, Giraffe, White Rhino, Black Rhino, Buffalo, Zebra.

Day 7: Ol Pejeta – Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, you will depart at 0800hrs for Lake Nakuru National Park in the Great Rift Valley, renowned for its spectacular flamingo population and as one of the world greatest ornithological. Have at a stopover at the stunning Thompson Falls for photos and later at Subukia viewpoint.
You will arrive in Lake Nakuru National park in time for some time at leisure before lunch. Later, you will have a game drive in the park from 1600hrs until sunset. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Lake Nakuru – Maasai Mara Game Reserve

Depart from your lodge after an early breakfast and drive through the scenic Rift Valley to Maasai Mara. You will have breathtaking views of hills, grasslands, extinct volcanoes and wheat plantations. Arrive on world’s famous game reserve on time for lunch at the Lodge and relax getting ready for a late afternoon game drive. Your game drive will definitely make you understand why Maasai Mara is the most famous national reserve in the world. You will be surprised by the concentration of wildlife in this reserve. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Explore Maasai Mara National Reserve

A full day spent game viewing across the rich, tree-studded grassland and rolling hills. The famous Mara is renowned for its great herds of plain game, black-manned lions, leopard and cheetah but also contains numerous elephant and virtually every type of wildlife to be found in Kenya.
In the evening, drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 10: Maasai Mara to Nairobi

Early Morning breakfast at your lodge, check out for morning last game drive in Masai Mara before you drive to Nairobi, Lunch en route, drop off at your hotel or transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
